Reminders are not arriving
Check three things, in this order:
- In MedKeep, open Settings and make sure Dose reminders is turned on.
- In your phone's own Settings, find MedKeep under Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed.
- Check whether a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is on, which silences reminders from every app.
MedKeep schedules reminders through your phone's notification system, so a phone that is switched off, out of battery, or in a focus mode will not show them. For any medicine where a missed dose would be serious, keep a second safeguard such as a pillbox or a separate alarm.
Getting your history out
Open the History tab and use Export CSV or Export PDF. The PDF is formatted to bring to an appointment. Both include everything you have logged, and neither is limited or held back.
Setting up an unusual schedule
When adding or editing a medicine, the Schedule section covers every day, specific days of the week, every few days, every few hours, as needed, a tapering dose that changes over time, and a cycle such as 21 days on and 7 days off. Pick the type first, then set the times. The line underneath reads your schedule back to you in plain words so you can check it.
Where your information lives
Your medicine list and history are stored on your device only. There is no account and no server holding your data, which also means we cannot recover it if the phone is lost or the app is deleted. Use Export if you want a copy you keep yourself. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
Deleting everything
Open Settings, then Delete all data on this device. This removes every medicine, log, and setting, and cannot be undone.
A note on drug information
MedKeep can look up a medicine name and show what its public FDA label says, including other medicines mentioned in that label's interaction section. This is published reference information, not advice, and it is not ranked or scored for severity. It can be incomplete or out of date. Always talk to your pharmacist or doctor about your medicines.
