1. Overview
PetalForm LLC (“PetalForm,” “we,” “us”) designed Micro Journal as a local-first app. We do not sell personal data, serve advertising, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or require an account.
2. Data stored on your device
Your journal entries and app preferences are stored locally on your device. PetalForm does not receive or upload that content.
The app has no PetalForm cloud backup. Removing the app or erasing its local data may permanently remove your journal content. Use the available export feature before deleting data you want to keep.
3. Purchases and restore
If you view, buy, or restore the $1.99 one-time Export & Backup unlock, the app connects to Apple App Store or Google Play billing through RevenueCat. Those services may process:
- a pseudonymous app-user or device identifier;
- app, device, operating-system, country, and product information;
- purchase, receipt, entitlement, and restore status.
This information is used only to offer, validate, maintain, and restore the unlock. PetalForm does not receive your full payment-card number.
4. Analytics and diagnostics
The released app does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or third-party crash-reporting services. Store platforms may provide PetalForm with aggregated installation, sales, and crash statistics under their own privacy terms.
5. Retention and deletion
Local journal content remains until you erase it from the app’s About & Privacy screen or remove the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat as needed to provide the purchase, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and support restore.
Because there is no PetalForm account or server copy of your journal content, we cannot recover it. Contact us if you have a privacy request concerning purchase-support information.
6. Children
The app does not knowingly collect children’s journal content. Purchases and store accounts are governed by the age, family, and parental controls provided by Apple or Google.
7. Service providers
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat act as service providers for purchase processing and may process purchase-related information in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and terms.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
